This rifle was manufactured in 1929 and is their Takedown model. The 30 WCF caliber was the earlier designation for the 30-30 caliber. I have never fired this rifle but it does cycle smoothly and the firing pin is intact so I see no reason why it couldn't be shot. The barrel is 24" long, the bluing is original and very nice. The receiver bluing is speckled, typical of the alloy used by Winchester in these older rifles. Steel buttplate. The wood is very nice with no cracks or chips. Some hunting pressure marks. Also has some nice grain in it, not the typical bland wood. Has the desirable Marbles Buckhorn rear adjustable sight which is somewhat unique. Overall, a nice example of an almost 100-year-old Winchester. If you collect old guns this is one you should look at. I live in Fargo.
